Del acabe al renacer: una cosecha 100% puertorriqueña
Crossing the mountains between fog and a few rays of sunshine, begins a journey that since the beginning of our history has fought for its permanence. It is the harvest and collection of our precious grain: coffee. For years Puerto Rico has positioned itself as one of the countries that has cultivated the best coffee, in addition to being one of the largest producers of coffee in the Americas.
Four years after the passage of Hurricane Maria, Puerto Rico is celebrating the first large coffee harvest since that natural phenomenon. The number of farms totals more than 2,000 and the coffee plantations in the mountainous zone have been renewed, showing the rebirth of the industry.
